Egypt’s Ministry of Antiquities will announce the new discovery on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Dr. Khaled Alanany will host an exclusive interview. Dr. Alanany is the Minister of antiquities and the prime minister in Luxor.
The new discovery is important because of the large number of coffins and mummies which we found in the cachette plus some treasures around the coffins.
The 20 coffins and mummies were discovered by an Egyptian man under his house. He went to the Ministry of Antiquities and informed them of his find. Egyptian archaeologists went to investigate the cachette and found everything still intact from ancient times and all the coffins are in an excellent preservation case.
The coffins are made of wood and painted with bright colors that are still visible. The mummies are still intact inside the coffins. Archaeologists and scholars will start studying the mummies as soon as possible.
This is not the last discovery in Egypt, more and more are uncovered nearly every day. There are many archaeologists, scholars, and workers digging in all Egypt’s site to uncover the ancient Egyptian treasures
